Virginia cotton meet planned Feb. 26

The 3rd annual Virginia Cotton Meeting is planned for Feb. 26 at the Airfield 4-H Center in Wakefield.

The event combines the annual meetings of the Virginia Cotton Growers Association (VCGA) and the Virginia Boll Weevil Eradication Foundation. Registration is $5 per person and includes lunch. At the door, registration is $10. The meeting begins at 9 a.m.

The list of scheduled speakers includes John Dunavant of Dunavant Enterprises, Memphis, Tenn; Mitchell Buck of the USDA Risk Management Agency, Raleigh, N.C.; Dave Kenyon, Virginia Tech; Don Shurley, University of Georgia; and a representative of the National Cotton Council, Washington, D.C.
