Pee Dee Station sets field day Sept. 14

"The Changing Future of Agriculture" will be the theme for the Third Annual Cropping Systems Field Day to be held at the Pee Dee Research and Education Center in Florence, S.C., on Thursday, Sept. 14.

Registration begins at 7:30 a.m.

A soybean tour and a cotton tour will be conducted, starting at 8:00 a.m. and each will be repeated at 10:00 a.m. for those who would like to catch both.

Lunch will be served at noon, followed by a presentation by an executive of the Case Corporation.

A special Symposium on Biotechnology is planned and a panel of tobacco growers will discuss their experiences this year on contracting.

A conservation-tillage tour will be available in the afternoon as well as a machinery display and demonstration. A tractor driving contest will be open to FFA members as well as adults.
