Longtime Georgia peanut agronomist says farewell ... sort of


Many Deep South peanut farmers know John Beasley as the University of Georgia Extension peanut agronomist. They should. He's been doing it going on 30 years. But he is retiring at the end of the year and moving to Auburn University to become a department head there. Beasley talks with Farm Press associate editor Brad Haire about the retirement, the move and gives a little advice to whomever is tapped to replace him in the top peanut-producing state in the country.
