A new line of small to mid-size farm tractors will be introduced at the Sunbelt Agricultural Exposition, Moultrie, Ga, Oct. 19-21, 2004, under the brand name Montana Tractors.

Montana Tractors are a new breed of rugged, reliable workhorses capable of meeting a variety of job needs from small farming chores to commercial landscaping and grounds maintenance, to utility and construction site tasks.

“These new tractors are really an intelligent buy,” says Rodney Miller, CEO of Montana Tractors. “They offer rugged, reliable performance, but they also offer economy. In fact, ‘pound for pound,’ they might just be the best buy on the market right now. That means they will provide customers a great opportunity to own ‘new’ instead of having to buy ‘used.’”

Montana Tractors are available in seven Compact 4-wheel-drive (4WD) models ranging from 27 to 45-horsepower; and three “VIP” models, offering a choice of 2-wheel-drive or 4-wheel-drive, ranging from 43 to 57-horsepower. The larger VIP lineup offers a choice of open station with ROPS or a “Big Sky” wrap-around, high-visibility cab. Plus, two of the Compact models feature infinite speed hydrostatic transmissions.

All Montana Tractors feature compact, ergonomic design for handling and operating ease, and mechanical 4-wheel-drive for extra traction and pulling power, and include the following features standard:

  • 4-cylinder Mitsubishi or 3-cylinder Daedong diesel engines; water cooled, fuel injected for fuel efficiency and quiet operation.

  • 8×8, 12×12 or 16×16 Synchromesh Shuttle Transmissions offer easy forward/reverse for loader applications; two infinite speed hydrostatic models available.

  • Independent 540 rpm PTOs.

  • Remote hydraulics standard on all models.

  • Unmatched visibility with “Big Sky” cab available on 43 to 57 HP VIP line.

  • 3 Year Warranty.

Montana Tractors are manufactured in South Korea by LG Cable, a manufacturer of electronic equipment, home appliances, and industrial equipment in addition to the line of 27 to 57 horsepower tractors. Final assembly takes place at the headquarters facility in Springdale, Ark., where all units are given a thorough inspection and pre-tested before delivery to dealers.

To tap into and service the various markets of interest in the U.S., Montana Tractors already has 90 dealers in 26 states and expects to expand to 40 states within the next year. Plans are to have a national dealer network in place within two years.

“Dealers will be key to our success,” adds Miller. “We are seeking dealers who know their local customers well and are committed to meeting their needs by providing a rugged, quality product with excellent pricing structure backed by outstanding service.”
