Kentucky Commodity Conference set Jan. 23

Jan. 23, 2009 marks the date for the 15th Annual Kentucky Commodity Conference to be held at the Holiday Inn University Plaza in Bowling Green, Ky.

This annual meeting of the Kentucky Corn Growers, Small Grain Growers and Soybean Associations will provide producers and agricultural industry professionals the opportunity to discover how their associations have been advancing their interests in the past year.

Farmers are welcome to attend the Kentucky Commodity Conference annual membership meetings of the hosting associations beginning at 1:00 p.m. CST.

Richard Brock will address the audience following the annual meeting of members.

Brock is owner and president of Brock Associates, an agricultural marketing advisory service and publisher of The Brock Report. His firm also publishes Pork Profit Edge and is an advisor on purchasing strategies for many large poultry, pork and food companies. The company’s primary business is managing grain sales for individual farmers.

A Grower Appreciation Reception will begin at 6:00 p.m. and lead into the Annual Awards Banquet. The top corn, wheat and soybean producers of 2008 will be honored at the Awards Banquet beginning at 6:30 p.m.

There is no fee for participation in the 2009 Kentucky Commodity Conference, but registration is required. Register online at www.kysoy.org.
