Conservation demonstration scheduled May 1

The Wilson County Soil and Water Conservation District of North Carolina is sponsoring a cover crop demonstration May 1.

Lamar Black, a Georgia farmer and reduced-tillage proponent, will discuss the benefits of using a roller to kill the cover crop.

The meeting begins with a sponsored breakfast at Bill's Barbecue, on the corner of Downing Street and Forest Hills Road, in Wilson, N.C.
