Virginia small grains day set May 31

The Virginia Small Grains Association will hold its annual field day May 31 on the Eastern Shore. Alan Tracey, president of the U.S. Wheat Associates, will speak on marketing.

The tour will begin at 9:30 a.m. in lower Northhampton County and wind up at the Eastern Shore Agricultural Research and Extension Center in Painter.

While the field day and mid-afternoon meal are free, a ticket is required for attendance. For more information, call Ellen Davis at the Virginia Small Grains Council at 1-800-446-3615.
