South Carolina strawberry meeting set Aug. 23

The South Carolina Fruit, Vegetables and Specialty Crop Association and the Clemson Coastal Research and Education Center will host a “Strawberry Plasticulture Pre-plant Production” meeting at the USDA/Clemson Vegetable Lab, 2700 Savannah Highway in Charleston on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007.

The meeting will begin at 11:00 a.m., and lunch will be served.

Topics of interest will be Mite and Disease Management and New Weed Control Options. Barclay Poling from North Carolina State University will be on hand to discuss pre-plant considerations for the 2007-2008 season.
