The South Carolina Agricultural Council is holding an agricultural tour on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2007.

The daylong event will include a tour of the Split Creek Goat Farm in Anderson, S.C., and the Happy Cow Creamer in Pelzer, S.C. Participants will register between 7:30 a.m. and 7:45 a.m. at the South Carolina Farm Bureau, 724 Knox Abbott Drive, Cayce, S.C.

The bus will depart sharply at 8:00 a.m. and return to the Farm Bureau building at approximately 5:30 p.m. ??Due to bus seating, the tour will be limited to 56 people, so pre-registration is required. The deadline for Council members and their guests to register is Friday Sept. 28, 2007. After that date, the tour will be open to the public until the bus seating is filled.

Cost of the tour is $30 per South Carolina Ag Council member which includes a barbecue lunch at Just More Barbecue in Pendleton, S.C., admission fees to the farms being toured and beverages and snacks on the bus.

South Carolina Ag Council members may bring one guest for $30. The cost for non-members of the Ag Council is $40 per person.
