The South Carolina Cotton Board will hold its annual meeting for cotton growers in the state Feb. 27 at the Pee Dee Research and Education Center in Florence.
The program begins at 9 a.m. and runs to 3 p.m. Lunch will be provided Topics for the meeting include a report from the Southern Cotton Growers' Association, a cotton forecast from the National Cotton Council, an update on the status of the boll weevil, and a report from Cotton Incorporated.
Extension specialists will also review the 2001 crop year, provide an update on research projects and discuss stinkbug issues in the state.
Meeting sponsors include the South Carolina Cotton Board, Clemson University Extension, South Carolina Farm Bureau, Farm Credit of South Carolina and Carolinas Cotton Growers Cooperative.
