South Carolina extends ag study tour deadline

The deadline for South Carolinians to register for a motor coach Ag Study Tour to Alabama has been extended to April 12, 2009.

The tour will depart Columbia on May 17 and return May 22 and will include visits to peach, cattle, timber, and blueberry farms. Other stops along the way will include a u-pick strawberry farm, agri-tourism operation, and nurseries.

Participants will also have the opportunity to tour Golden Flake Snack Foods, Vulcan Park (steel landmark), Priesters Pecan Plant, Conecuh Sausage Plant, Hyundai Plant, Talladega Speedway and Auburn University plus other numerous agriculture and tourist sites.
