Wiregrass Expo scheduled Feb. 24

The 2004 Wiregrass Cotton Expo and Equipment Show will be held Tuesday, Feb. 24, at the National Peanut Festival site in Dothan, Ala.

The meeting begins with registration at 8 a.m. Meeting topics and speakers are as follows: Cotton Weed Management Update 2004 — Mike Patterson, Auburn University; Cotton Market Outlook — Bob Goodman, Auburn University; Controlling the Bug Complex in Wiregrass Cotton — Ron Smith, Auburn University; Variety Selection and Performance — William Birdsong, Alabama Cooperative Extension System; Tillage and Nitrogen Management in Cotton — David Wright, University of Florida; National Cotton Council Report — Thomas Kirkland, Alabama Cotton producer; Results from Southeast Regional Hardlock Boll Trials — Jim Marois, University of Florida; Farm Service Agency Update — Ronnie Davis, FSA; and What Will the Weather Be in 2004? James O'Brien and David Zierden, Florida Climate Center.

A lunch will be served.
