Make plans now to attend the 2nd Annual Kentucky Soybean Festival, sponsored in part by the Kentucky Soybean Promotion Board. This event has been established in Princeton, Ky., to honor soybean farmers and Kentucky agriculture.
The event is slated to take place July 23-26 at the Caldwell County Extension Office on Highway 62 West.
Regain the feel of the county fair agriculture competitions with the Canning, Baking and Arts and Crafts Blue Ribbon Show. Categories will be made available for youth and adult competitors.
Enter your pedal tractor to compete for “Best in Show” or stop by to visit the health fair. Blood pressure and cholesterol screenings will be provided by the Caldwell County Hospital and the Caldwell County Health Department. A soy cooking class will be available for anyone interested in learning more about tofu. Learn more about incorporating soy into your diet and gain the benefits these easy adjustments can provide!
Farmers and community members alike are invited to the Saturday morning Farmers Appreciation Breakfast to hear keynote speaker Steve Isaacs. Isaacs serves the University of Kentucky, College of Agriculture as Assistant Director of Community and Economic Development. The breakfast will begin at 7:00 a.m. and reservations must be made with the Caldwell County Extension Office.
