Resistant weeds are nothing new, they are already in nature and already resistant to some widely-used herbicides. But certain farming practices select for them, and in recent years herbicide-resistant weeds have spread in many Southern fields, forcing farmers to look for different systems — old and new — to deal with the challenge.
