‘Telling half the story’

Americans have a safe, abundant and affordable supply of food that is the envy of the world. But so-called “foodies” and environmentalists continue to heap criticism on production agriculture, often telling only half the story, according to Jay Vroom, president of CropLife America, the organization representing the nation’s farm chemical manufacturers. Vroom discussed CropLife America’s efforts to counter such criticism and gave an assessment of the ongoing controversy over NPDES or National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permits now being considered by EPA in this interview.
