“Seizing the magic moment” is a phrase South Carolina Agriculture Commissioner Hugh Weathers used in a recent speech to the Southern Crop Production Association’s annual meeting in Charleston, S.C. Weathers, a third-generation dairy farmer who is now in his second full term as ag commissioner, says there are times when everything seems to come together to help farmers take a big leap forward. He discussed his comments in an interview with Farm Press editor Forrest Laws.
