Two workshops on farm business succession will be held May 16 and May 17 in Virginia.

The workshops are scheduled for May 16 in Chesapeake at the Hickory Ruritan Club and May 17 in Wakefield at the 4-H Center.

The cost for the full-day workshop is $10 and includes lunch. A farm family discount is available for two or three members of the same family farm at $15. The cost is $20 for four members of the same family farm.

Topics at the workshop include: Initiating the process, evaluating the business, farm transition stages, business structure and tying it all together.

The Virginia Cooperative Extension Service is sponsoring the workshops in cooperation with the North Carolina State University Cooperative Extension Service, Virginia Tech and the North Carolina Farm Transition Network Inc.
