Registration for the field day will begin at 8 a.m., followed by field demonstrations from 8:20 until 9:15 a.m. These demonstrations will include corn varieties — including Roundup Ready, Bt and double-stack, equipment demonstrations, calibrations and 15-inch and twin-row corn. Also featured will be silage processing and herbicide trials.

Presentations from 9:15 until 11 a.m. include the following: The Latest in Weed Control — Greg McDonald; Corn Silage: To Process or Not to Process — Gbola Anderson; Disease Management for Corn Crops — Tom Kucharek; and Principles of Corn Insect Control — Richard Sprenkel.

Field day participants will travel to the shop area at 11 a.m. for the following presentations: From Field to Cows: Preserving Plant Quality, a Look at Bunker and/or Bag Storage — Charles Staples; and a panel discussion on Contract Growing of Corn Silage.

A sponsored lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m.
