Commodity Classic to highlight technology, equipment, information

Some of the nation’s top corn and soybean farmers and agribusiness leaders will be finding ways they can be more successful in their operations at Commodity Classic Feb. 24-26 in Austin, Texas.

The trade show for this premier agricultural event will display the latest in technology, equipment and products, while the convention will offer seminars that educate and enlighten growers on the topics and issues that matter to them.

Commodity Classic is the annual convention and trade show presented by the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) and American Soybean Association (ASA).

More than 700 booths will fill the Commodity Classic trade show, where farmers will have the opportunity to talk with agribusiness and industry leaders representing nearly 200 businesses and organizations. Growers will have direct access to the latest information about a variety of products, equipment and services that can impact their bottom line.

“Farmers will find a wealth of information waiting for them at Commodity Classic,” said ASA President Neal Bredehoeft. “An outstanding trade show and top notch seminars will provide growers with information and ideas they can use to impact the profitability of their daily operations.”

“As we prepare to head out into the fields for the 2005 planting season, Commodity Classic provides the perfect opportunity to exploit the latest in technology, equipment and information,” NCGA President Leon Corzine said. “Growers will leave Austin armed with all the tools that will help them be even more successful come fall.”

The 2005 Commodity Classic General Session will feature a panel of experts talking about “Growing America’s Future.” In addition, there will be an energetic and motivational presentation by Olympic skier and professional speaker Vince Poscente. To wrap up Commodity Classic on Feb. 26, a special “Evening of Entertainment” will feature a performance by the country music group Restless Heart.

Austin, the live music capital of the world, provides a casual and creative atmosphere for enjoying the entertainment, cultural and historic attractions of the area. It’s a perfect place to bring the whole family.
